If it a blown head gasket, is it worth fixing?

High mileage? 4.7L? That is a dual overhead cam, so replacing head gaskets are a little more involved, and if you have a lot of miles on the motor and still on the original timing chains, you would likely want to replace those too. If you intend to keep the vehicle and run it for a few more years, and it's in good condition otherwise, then it would be worth it, versus dumping it as a mechanic's special or scrapping it and going into debt on another vehicle. Take it to a good local engine shop, don't bother with any chain shop or places that only handle basic mechanic services like oil changes and brakes.
