Whats wrong when start car, hear clicking noise INSIDE car for 10 seconds, and then stops?

Asked by Gvegara1969 Sep 19, 2015 at 08:31 AM about the 2006 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When starting car whether engine is hot or cold I hear clicking noise for about
ten seconds. It sounds like it's coming from a-c vents, and sounds like it's
cycling in nature. After ten seconds it stops and does not return until I shut
my friends engine and restart.

Sounds like the squirrel cage on the blower motor rubbing on something. Pull out and look for foreign objects.

Blower motor? It makes this noise whether the a/c is turned on or off. Shall I still check this? What about EFI relay? Pumps?

OK, try completely turning off the blower motor before starting the car, eliminate that sound, but on some cars yes you can here different components of the fuel system working, fuel pumps especially as they pressurize. I've heard the injectors on some cars make noise also, but there was no problem.
