Replacing the fuel filter and the quick connect on the out flow side looks like a prong may be folded over on itself and I can't get the line off. Am I screwed?

Are you using the correct tool to compress the spring holding the filter in? On my 2003 I had to take off a couple of shields, then loosen the bracket to get my hands into the area where I could apply enough force to remove it. On the 2003 V6 it was difficult. I have large hands which makes it even more of a hastle.

Pry the plastic retainer up with a screwdriver. You can even take it off completely. Most new filters come with new retainers. Place the tool around the fuel line and push it in until you hear the click. Then pull backward on the filter while maintaining inward pressure on the tool and it should release. The line from the tank is always the most difficult for me.
