Just replaced all balljoints and alternator in my 2005 Ford Explorer. Since that was done it makes a loud thumping noise and won't hardly make a left hand turn

A friend of my ex-husband did the work. I don't know anything about cars. All I know is that my car never made that noise before and I paid alot of money and can't drive it

Have it double checked, you dont want to drive an unsafe car...

Guess having a friend of your ex makes you a female. Don't know how well you, jacks, and jack stands get along. If I could I would place the front of the vehicle on jack stands, turn the wheel to the left, then rotate the tire by hand and visually see what the problem is. But you probably will not know what you are looking for anyway. Best you find someone who knows something about suspension work or suspensions in general.
