have a 1966 mustang , brake pedal sticks down after driving

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

have a 1966 mustang v8 289 with an aftermarket power brake system on it with a proportioning valve and front discs, rear drums,   the pedal sticks down after driving and does not raise back up on its own. I have to pull it back up with my foot so does not apply the brakes by itself.  I have adjusted the rod between the pedal and the booster and it makes no difference. I have added a helper spring to pull the pedal back up but sometimes that does not work.. any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a booster problem. Have you read the paperwork that came with the brake system? What system is it?
