The vin # plate is missing on the door is there any other place where the vin# would be located?

Not sure when they started putting vins here, but check on the lower left hand corner of the dash (visible trough the windshield.) Also will it be on the engine? Or is that just an engine serial #?

How about you type "1966 Mustang VIN location" into google. Maybe that will be helpful.

Check on one of the front fenders where the hood fits in when closed. that's where they were on the 641/2, 65 and 66.
