Converting from manuel to automatic on 68 mustang

I bought a 68 mustang.   Not very mechanical but the
engine is a 5.0  5 speed.   Want to convert it to automatic
so my wife can drive it.   Just wondering what the cost of
converting to  automatic if I took it to a auto shop.   At least
ball park.   Thanks

Very costly, get an estimate from a transmittion shop for $ ideas. You'll need an auto trans, stall speed convertor, cables & linkage & a new radiator with trans fluid cooling section in the botom & trans fluid tubing lines & auto trans shifter. I'm sure its easier to teach your wife how to drive manual.
