how to replace gas line

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 1988 Ford Mustang. 5 speed, manual,convertible, 5.0. My car broke down on a
highway and I had it towed to my home. At that time, financial issues were a major
problem so I left it sitting, which I know is bad for the car. But, it is an additional car
that has sentimental value. When I did attempt to try to repair the car, I had to replace
the battery, clean the old gasoline out of the tank, then I found a leak in the gas line
and I need to repair it and I have no clue and limited finances. Can anyone suggest how
to repair, replace a gas line on my Mustang 5.0. I am a female with limited knowledge
and I would appreciate any help.

Sorry but I don't think "cheap" is in the cards for this concern. At least not cheap AND safe. Just my opinion of course.
