Car wont start with key

I have a 88 gt car worked fine shut car off now it
wont turn over with key get a screw driver n cross
over the cilanoid n it fires up perfect so i dont know
whats wrong anyone know n can pls help me

I have a 04 mustang v6 it ran kinda rough like it was missing. On 1 cylinder ran maybe 30 miles turned it off and about a month later I went out to start it with only less than a 1/4 tank of gas and it turns over but won't start any ideas on how to get it running thanks
