My A/c light only goes off with repeated pushing, and comes on every time I turn on the fan, esp in defrost mode. I don't want a/c, I want heat! Please advise.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A/C button comes on automatically every time I turn on the fan, and only goes out when I push it repeatedly, and sometimes not at all.  I want heat, not a/c at this time of year for defrosting and warmth. This is my second winter with this car and I don't remember it being a problem last year.

maybe you didn't notice?? (not a nissan fan here), but am familiar with cars actually using the ac feature to defrost the cars automatically, (still warmer than frost, and not too hot to damage/crack the glass). but feel free to still look into it. insted of pushing it repeatedly, try holding it in for like 3-5 seconds, to deactivate the feature
