why do people even buy Land Rover products?

Asked by whyrover16 Dec 27, 2016 at 04:36 PM about the 2008 Land Rover LR2 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son purchased a 2008 Land Rover LR2, the simplest of repairs, the
dealerships want to charge 3000.00 and up.  Why dont people stop buying
their crap and then the dealerships wont be able to rip people off??!!

Good question! The LR has to be one of the worst 4x4's ever built. The ones from the 50's and 60's were good but have no relationship to the new ones other than the name. I would find a good independent shop for your LR.

If you are a glutton for punishment then a land rover is for you. Most expensive parts, hardest to find a reasonable mechanic, pain in the rear, constantly breaking crap there is.

I wish I had a worst enemy I really hated, I would give them my land rover for Christmas.
