First time Subaru owner , engine swap ?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

First question is with a # 6 digit of 6 what engine do I have , other than a 2.5 I .  and non turbo AT car?I am seeing 2.5 AVLS and E220 etc . Also how do I figure out if the car is a legacy or what?

Oy oy oy.... All 2006-2007 OBs and Legs have the same 2.5i NA motor, using VVT. Low emissions states will have a fancier PZEV exhaust, too, so matching that up might be best. 2008-9 will work as well, with exhaust mods.
