check engine light would have to be done at your local auto parts store. usually free. if problem persist, the light will just come back on until you repair the fault.

If the repair solved the problem and you don't have a scan tool to clear the computer (PCM) the light will go off on it's own in a few days. To speed up the process keep your gas tank between 3/4 and 1/4 full. No more and no less. Then just drive normally. The PCM won't run the diagnostics on certain systems if the gas tank is above 3/4 or below 1/4. HTH. -Jim
