Why would you put on a used ac compressor on ??? Buy a remanufactured pump !!! Replace the orfice , the dryer , clean the ac system , have the system pulled down with a vacuum pump !!! this is not a job for a novice want to be mechanic !! Why do you have to replace the pump any how ??? Did it sieze up ?? If so where do you think all the metal shavings are !! There all through the system Unless the system is flushed and cleaned Your just throwing good money after bad !! Take my advice and have it serviced by a qualified tec

If you have the ability to remove one, certainly you should be able to do the reverse! Oil comes in the Freon!

If the AC doesn't work, you need to figure out why before you start buying parts. Is the compressor locked up so the belt won't turn? Have you removed the serpentine belt to see if it isn't the alternator pulley locked up instead? If the AC compressor and or pulley isn't locked up, then you might have a Freon leak that would need fixed first and you may not need a compressor. There are several troubleshooting steps that need to be done and someone without knowledge should probably let someone experienced tackle this one. I know, you might not have the money, right? We've all been there, and maybe your car isn't worth dumping this kind of money in. It might be better to suck it up and take the heat, it'll suck but you'll get use to it, Good luck

If it spins the pulley on the compressor does that mean the compressor is locked up
