starting cold, indicator shows "engine hot A/C off".

What is this

My 2008 Chevy equinox said engine hot ac off , the very first time this happened I replaced it it was fine for two years , this time it did it again only to replace it and behold it did it again , engine hot ac off , this time I used my obd reader to clear the codes only for it to happen again and Everytime I do this the temperature gauge and ac works perfectly , I'm guessing to change the pigtail to the sensor to see if it works , I hope this helps someone

Some professional reviews feel the larger V6 is too loud and unrefined and prefer the non-Sport trims. Handling in the Sport can feel vague and imprecise, and the stiffer suspension picks out all the bumps in the road. Acceleration is quick and responsive, but the wide turning radius impedes city maneuverability, and the thick rear pillars can obstruct rear visibility. The 2009 Equinox shines on the inside. The Equinox is longer than the Ford Escape and Toyota RAV4 and also taller, so it offers plenty of head and legroom to accommodate passengers over 6 feet tall. The rear seats slide forward and back 8 inches to allow for extra leg or storage room. They split 60/40, but do not fold completely flat. The front passenger seat also folds down to hold longer objects. A roof rack is standard on all trims but the Sport, and the cargo area expands from 35 to 69 cubic feet. Oddly, the Equinox lacks adequate interior storage compartments. A capable family vehicle praised for its interior capacity, the 2009 Equinox lacks the refinement of the RAV4 and even the Hyundai Tucson. Show more User reviews Write a review Filter by average rating (7) (2) (1) (0) (1) Newest to Oldest by Breelee165 I have a 2009 Chevy equinox when I first got it I had to replace the head gaskets the serpentine belt and do a transmission flush on it recently I had to replace the EVAP sensor and the temperature coolant sensor and the thermostat worked fine for a month then the temperature coolant sensor blue again so I had it replaced and within 24 hours the temperature sensor blue again I cant figure out what is going on my radiator is not clogged I replaced the coolant lid my fans are running and my temperature gauge is reading zero and the car says engine hot turn AC off so I am at a loss here Im not losing coolant theres no leaks in any of the hoses the water pump is fine I dont know what is causing this sensor to blow. The fans immediately kick on and the gauge is reading 0 . I flushed the coolent every time I had the part replaced. Please help! Im stressed out to the max with this issue. I dont think this has anything to do with it but the second time the coolant temperature sensor went right before that on the same day my back windshield wiper motor was humming really bad because that stopped working 2 months prior so I am plugged the motor to the windshield wiper and that stopped and the next time I started the car that day that second sensor blue now Im on my third one. Its being replaced now. did u ever figure out what your issue was? I'm having the same problem
