Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i connected my code reader to the car and it gave me one code "P0117"
which is "Engine coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage" u
then located the temperature sensor and saw that there was nothing
connected to it , will this cause my car not to start?

No. Check to see if you have fuel or spark at the engine. Do go ahead and repair the temperature sensor but it would not prevent the car from starting.

Did it run fine when you parked it,,,you may have overheated the engine without knowing it

I have fuel getting to the engine and a spark but a buddy of mine said it might be the wiring harness ?
