Catalytic converter rumbling noise

I have a Rav 2006 Toyota and about three years ago it started making a rumbling noise under the car like in the exhaust  This only happens when I am driving between 30-40 miles an around someone said it could be the catalytic converter  Toyota wants $800.00 ti fix on top of the diagnosis fee  Any suggestions      TBell2cute@aol.com

I think i if i had to spend this much to repair it,have it done right,have the 02, sensor,s replaced all so,this is what may have caused it in the first place.
