The ABS, Anti skid and ck. brakes lights are on in 2008 Ford Escape. I just replaced transmission. Could that cause problems? What code reader do I use to check further?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced the transmission on my 2008 Ford Escape. Now my ABS, anti-
skid and check brake lights are on. Could something in the new transmission
be causing the problem? What code reader would I need to purchase to read
codes to find the problem? A lot of places want close to $100 just to read the
codes. After spending $3000 on a rebuilt transmission I want to try to do as
much as possible to determine the problem before I take it to a repair shop.

Replacing transmission should have nothing to do with the brakes remove tires and check and clean ABS sensors sometimes they just get dirty and looses the signal and light comes on.
