Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Ford Escape started jerking this morning
while I was driving. Does anyone know why it
would be doing that?

My 2007 Ford Edge does the same thing and has for a year or more. We have had it to the mechanic multiple times. Cannot figure it out. They think it could be the coil's needing changed, but this is pretty expensive to not be a definite fix. We have changed the 3 that are easy to get to, but didn't change much. If your engine light is on, get the code checked at Auto Zone or somewhere like that. Good luck!
