Car overheating

Asked by Kels225 Jun 27, 2019 at 03:16 PM about the 2008 Dodge Avenger SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just recently had my thermostats, thermostat
housing, sensor, hoses, and fan replacements.
One of the hoses popped off later that day so I
made sure it got securely put back on and it was
fine for a few days until I was sitting in heavy traffic
idling for a while and it overheated again. Pulled
over let it cool down and then made it home. The
next day I started it up and took it around the
neighborhood and the temp went up pretty fast so
I turned around and went home before it could
overheat. At a loss and stressed about it. 08

Adding that I’m going to try purging the air through the radiator cap from where it leaked all the coolant and I had to add more and see if that will help

Adding again that it never filled up at the radiator cap, just kept going through the tube and a little later I looked on the ground and saw a big puddle. Hoping it was just one of my hoses popping off again. Still open to suggestions about what to do to fix that issue of hoses popping off or what the issue could be if it’s not the hoses coming off
