How much is my 2007 nissan 350z worth without an engine?

Asked by Mar 10, 2017 at 05:33 PM about the 2007 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Something happened with the timing belt.
78k miles
rebuilt title

The shop is saying they can get an engine for $1,800 lower miles with
$1,400 labor out the door total $3,200. KBB was going for 8k but
considering it has a rebuilt title 40% off value around 5k. Not sure if it is
worth fixing for 3,200. Any thoughts?

Without knowing anything else about the car I would guess around $1,000, maybe less with the title issues. You could start high and cut the price until it sells.

the only problem is the engine. I was thinking of fixing it for 3,200 and selling it for 5,500.

Why was the car rebuilt? total loss accident? theft recovery? That makes or breaks your sale. When I build road race cars or street/strip draggers I don't care about the title status UNLESS it has been tweaked, or submerged.

it was in a flood

I'd say a rolling chassis, which would need to be completely rewired, and new engine should reasonably be 1000.00 to 1500.00 depending on the body/ accessories

A flooded car? I would sell it as is.
