depends on where you go and if there are any specials going on for brake service.

Lots of variables. Have the brakes been abused by someone resting a foot on the petal? New rotors will be needed. I know somebody that has that habit, have warned her to no avail.

Thats true I didnt think of that. David is right is also depends on what needs to be done. From just replacing pads, and/or replacing or resurfacing the rotors.

Call around for estimates. Find the price with rotors turned, with rotors replaced and just pads installed. --- Here is a YouTube video showing how it's done. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2BHicTtfuc

A dealership near where I go to college in Ohio wanted to charge me more than $300 to replace the pads and rotors on my 2010 Patriot Sport 4x4, 45k miles or so. I checked with a guy back home in Michigan who works at a parts store, and he found me pads for about $35, the front rotors only needed turned rather than replaced($16 instead of $80), and we went in after hours and did the work for free. That being said, definitely ask around and do the work yourself when you can.
