Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The driver's side power seat control for moving forward and back only works
intermittently, more not working than working. Is there a simple repair to try before taking
it to the shop?

I would try the wiring plug on the back of the switch under the seat first. The more you use the seat the more the wiring may tug on the plug causing the contacts to wear out.

Checked all of the switches, nothing improved. Now, the front seat is all the way forward (got into the back seat) and will not move back at all. All other functions are working fine, just will not go back.

I had a mechanic hook something up to my battery then he placed a rod under the dash, it gave power to the seat so could move it. Temporary solution. I also have a 2001 CL TYPE S
