bizzarre air conditioner

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when I so when I turn the temperature
knob all the way it goes to 9 it's supposed to
turned all the way down to 60 but as I am
turning it down it hits 75 then it clicks 75
one more time and then starts going back
up as I'm turning it down all the way up to 89
now obviously there is a short somewhere
but I have no idea where to look I run a
diagnostics test on it and it says the a /c
gear position switch is shorted out and there
are a few other shorts I'm having problems
with such as at night when my headlights
are on my cruise control does not work but if
my cruise control does work with my
headlights on my tail lights don't work only
the one in the spoiler does and because my
car is a manual Matic headed used to work
fine but the D4 light is blinking and when I go
to put it in manual Matic it will not switch
over but most of the time when I get gas and
I start the car back up it goes into manual
Matic but 90% of the time if I put it back in
park and pull it down to drive it goes back
into automatic but my biggest concern right
now is my air conditioner the blower motor
works fine and the heater works fine but
none of the buttons or the air conditioner the
defrost the auto or of the off button work but
it used to randomly kick the air conditioner
on when you were driving but there was
nothing significant that would happen it
would just randomly start working you could
be 5 minutes after you started driving or it
could be an hour after you started driving
can anybody help me please I've been trying
to figure this out for almost a year I have not
found anything on the internet about this I
have looked up how to find a short using
test light by plugging it been negative Port
into the battery and touching the negative
terminal of the battery it does light up but
when I start pulling fuses none of them
turns off the test light
