2007 was the best year sti made imho. depending on mileage there are charts to follow for routine maintenance. fluids must be kept up like any other vehicle. the ones on these cars are just a little more expensive

I owned a '07 STI for 8+ years which I bought new--just sold it last month. It is a very robust and trouble free car--routine brake pad changes, tires, battery (replaced once), and fluids--that's it. I did not race it or abuse it in any way, however, so your experience might depend on the prudence of the previous owner. I have learned that synthetic oil in these highly strung engines is a good idea, and worth the extra cost.
