Does anyone know the percentage of power that is delivered to each wheel on the AWD models.

Asked by alrav4liz Jan 05, 2008 at 08:57 PM about the 2007 Toyota RAV4 Base AWD

Question type: General

I have heard from a Toyota dealer that at all times there is 80% power to the front wheels and 20% power to the rear wheels, I was wondering if this is true. Thanks Al

This sounds about right. Most of the power is delivered to the front wheels in the AWD models, and most of the braking is done in the front wheels at about the same ratio as you were informed.
