After replacing the battery of a toyota yaris 2007, I started the car and the motor startet , but wont stay or fails to keep on. It went off

I must keep on pressing on the gas pedal in order for the car to stay on

Please advice what to do in such situation

yeah me too have same problem so i tried to ignore it & keep running after a day...it returns to normal...

Another trick for that is 1- disconnect the negative battery contact 2 - take off the air filter and the hose and hard rubber, disconnect all sensors 3 - with a rag and WD40 clean the carburetor inside, try to clean all the dark deposit. 4 - put everything together connect the battery back and crank the engine 5 - leave it on for a few minutes Eventually the car will regulate again the rpm from 1200 to 900
