Transmission

Asked by LSS_4381 Jan 19, 2017 at 04:40 PM about the 2001 Acura CL 3.2 Type-S FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last night while driving the last leg of a 6 hour trip, my
2001Acura cl-s  broke down all the dash lights came on and
no movement smoking and smell of burning tyranny fluid.
This morning I put a quarter of transmission fluid in it and it
engaged enough to drive it onto a car hauler. Haven't tried it
longer than that. Could it be a line busted because there
was fluid all over the drivers side undercarriage and burning
up.

That does sound like a transmission line came loose. It is worth checking out.
