I have a 07 Kia Spectra EX and I want to change the lighting on the instrument panel and mine has 3 plugs on the back

but you cannot remove the circuit board so I obtained a 2006 Kia Spectra
instrument panel but it only has 2 plugs on the back, mine has  a trip
odometer and it displays the gear lettering whereas the 2006 I believe just
displays the odometer reading but I can change all the panel lighting will the
2006 work on my 2007 minus the trip odometer and gear display

Not likely, these instrument clusters are complex-ed and are vehicle specific. If it is not the same it would not work and cause other things not to work.
