My 2006 discover tdv6 will not start. All check lights lights are coming on except engine check.. Help

Hi.... I have a similar problem.... We rebuilt the engine everything was fine.... fitted it in....assembled the harness and connectors.... and it was cranking but would not start for some reason.... noticed that the engine check wasn't coming on the dash and it can't start without it.... and some plumb also but the battery in the wrong way round so now half the fuses are gone.... who has solutions?
