Question type: General

just got the truck and the locks n key seem to be out of sync .. it locks all of the doors when i turn right twice with the key in door , but does not unlock all doors when i use the key or the key fob.. on my model there is no other way to get into the car. only driver;'s side has key lock. so its almost impossible to get into and use the car properly . i need the back gate for equipment and such.

You need to contact Land Rover Service with your license plate number and ask for the 4 digit code allocated to your vehicle to open using your key. If for example the code for your vehicle is 2134 you will need to turn the key in the driver's door twice right, then once left, again thrice right and four times left. This temporarily allows you to start without issues. You will now need to reset you key fob. If you include a photo of your key fob, can explain how it is done.

Good afternoon. I have a 2003 Land rover discovery Series II, lost my keys. Purchased it from a private seller, that had only the mechanical key and worked good, didn't need the control for it. but since I misplaced them, I called a dealer and got my code for it, had my locksmith cut a mechanical key, fit great, but doesn't want to open... do I have to follow the same sequence as you mentioned above for the key code to be able to use it? Any help is appreciated.
