Engine cut out while driving! Stranded in France

Asked by lumberjack_landy Dec 23, 2014 at 06:21 AM about the 1994 Land Rover Discovery 4 Dr STD AWD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was driving along and engine cut out, i managed to get to layby (using random open wifi
in village) i have no electrics, wipers don't work, no electric windows BUT my head lights
and spot lights work as well as hazards???????? battery is fine and i have checked all
fuses and they are all ok.

Did you check the fuses under the hood? There are some big ones under there. Sounds like you may have blown the big 30 amp fuse. Now when you say no electronics, does that mean you have no power to the ignition also? Like you turn the key and there's nothing? Or is the engine turning over?
