Is it better to buy a spoiler and drill holes or get a new trunk with a spoiler?

Question type: Car Customization

I got a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe, and it doesnt have a spoiler on it. I was
wondering was it better to buy a 70-130 dollar spoiler (painted) from ebay and
get someone to install it, which would mean by drilling holes, or just getting a
different trunk with a spoiler on it for 200 dollars and getting someone to
change out the hoods? (found one at the junkyard: 2005 infiniti g35 coupe,
same color). Which would be more cost efficient, and would drilling holes really
do anything bad to hood since spoiler will stay on there and the holes won't be
visible.

Thanks!

If I were to contemplate such a thing I would look for a spoiler that can be attached with 3M industrial duty double stick tape. The trunk lid swap is probably your best choice .

..and how do you think Infinity attached the spoiler to the trunk? magic dust? I'd get the one from the junk yard and see if you could "trade in" your trunk lid
