How do I take apart the inside driver side door to change the window motor. Is it an easy task?

Asked by RobAero Jun 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM about the 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 9-3areo convertible.  The drivers side window has been very weak as I needed to help it go up.  Now it has stopped working completely.  I have researched the motor and I think I need a 6 pin power window motor with finger protection.  I would like to attempt to fix it myself.  I would need advice and a place to order inexpensive parts..  Please help if you can.

Its not a difficult task, just be careful, men de mounting the panels and look for hidden screws. Also, when removing the window, make shure it dosent goes out of the track.

I had a problem with mine and tore the paneling apart...turned out to be the switch, not the window or the motor.
