I bought the car in November, when test driving salesman said the AC blows
cold but it was chilly and we only turned on heater.  Have not had any need
until yesterday and all I get is warm air.  Figured it needed charged so did
that.  My ex-husband is retired HVAC and put a guage on it and said there is
no pressure...... NO, TELL ME NO!    My question is, would the compressor
have been bad or just suddenly gone bad - even though never used.  2nd.
question.... I really do not even know how to turn it on.  I hear others talking
about LED light - I do not have any "light" anywhere on my console.  I've read
that everything is pre-programmed... how does IT know when I'M hot!  lol  

How do I turn on the dang AC in the first place.   (do not mean to sound like
an idiot, but dang, this is very odd)

First thing I'd try would be to recharge the system. You can get a recharge kit at any Auto shop for about $20 - $30. You may just have no coolant in the lines which would give you no pressure.
