Are you sure it's a fuel tank leak? Could also be a line, an injector, a problem with the evaporative emissions system, etc. Have this diagnosed by a dealership.

    When I fill the tank to 80% or more the car smells of gas and gas will leak out when I accellerate. I was told this is a common problem with C-3 Corvettes. I have no issuses if I keep it at 1/2 full.
