How to change temp manually saab 93 converible

Asked by Care1989 Jul 31, 2015 at 05:04 PM about the 1999 Saab 9-3 2 Dr Turbo Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My temp knobs are broken and the
temp is stuck on heat from winter.
Wondering if there is anyway I am
able to change it myself under the
hood? I hear it is an easy switch but
Im not sure how I should actually do
it. Help a girl out? Much appreciated!

It is the blend door actuator under dash that changes the air from hot to cool, not flipping over,

You can remove the actuator, and turn the plastic by hand to set the control, but you will have to lock it with something, like vise grips to keep it to the cool side,or just replace the actuator.
