not sure what you are asking? are you asking about regular maintenance, full tune up, or do you have a service engine soon light?

It means that the computer has one or more stored codes. Google how to scan obd1 GM codes and there are good YouTube videos on how to do it. You use a paper clip to connect 2 terminals in the diagnostic port. Not hard, once you have the codes you can look them up and see where they lead. You can post them here too and we can help with the diagnosis.
