Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All new, crank sensor, ignition module and ignition
switch. Car will star but dies as soon as I release
the key. If I turn the key to start it fires but as soon
as I let go it dies. If I then with the in run position
try to start it again it won't start. If I turn the key to
off and then try to start it it fires and dies.

It makes sense to me that if , indeed, the olds has an oil pressure switch that relays power to the fuel pump - after the initial "timed" circuit through the relay, then perhaps the oil psi switch is bad or abroken wire..

Maybe try n keep the engine running with an alternative mean for fuel delivery (squirt can of gas /ether) - just to see if it is fuel or spark related

How do you disarm the factory Security on that Oldsmobile that's probably the problem
