Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 88 Oldsmobile my gas was low so I went to
gas station after putting gas in I started the car and it
studdered the dash lights usually come on once the car is
started. They came on and went rite off then the
temperature gage went up and down and the traction
control light came on. So I cut it off and tried to restart. It
didn't restart until after my 3rd try but did the same thing
but then the dash lights came Bk on. Once I put in drive
the engine shut off. I then took the key out waited 30
seconds and restarted the lights went out again and came
Bk on. Once in drive I was able to drive off but light get
dim when I hit the brakes or do anything electrical in the
car. Any thoughts? Someone plz help me with this
problem. The engine is the 3800
