Trouble starting car

Asked by Lici8 Aug 18, 2016 at 04:19 PM about the 1996 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 96 Olds 88. I know it is an old car but
when I got it it only has 80,000 miles on it. The
issue I have is that it starts fine in warm weather,
but as soon as the temperature drops, it won't
start unless it is jumped. Any suggestions?

After doing some research and thinking about the problem you are having the only thing I can come up with is your battery's ( CCA ) Cold Cranking Amps is to low get a battery with more cold cranking amps. I know you are saying they say this is the correct battery for my vehicle but with the year and miles on it just needs more cold cranking amps for the winter.
