How do I replace the gear linkage on a Jag X type 2005

Asked by jk6511 Jul 05, 2014 at 11:11 AM about the 2005 Jaguar X-TYPE 2.5L Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,
I have a Jaguar X Type 2.5, 2005.
The gear stick went floppy & I was told it was one of the linkages. I managed to get the
linkage back on but it is very loose  & will need replacing.
Is this an easy job or is it best left to a garage ?
Many thanks,
Werner
