Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I notice a number of posts relating to trans level how do you check it I cannot find the dipstick!. The engine dipstick I found immediately, yet look as best possible I just have never found the trans dipstick I always have the car serviced by a mechanic shop, that I believe is a problem with modern cars is they are built so there is less that owners can do everything is computer controlled right down to speed adjusted steering.

Many cars today have "sealed" transmissions and you can only check the fluid level by getting under the car. So much for progress.
