What is wrong with my 2007 Toyota Camry? Codes U0073 and C1241

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2007 Toyota Camry SE 4 cyl.  I did a brief test drive before
purchasing, and it was fine.  While driving it home, which was a longer drive,
from the previous owner, it started doing goofy things.  The break light and
ABS light came on dashboard.  The speedometer, tachometer, temp gauge
all started bouncing. Simultaneously the ABS and Emergency brake light
came on. Also the air conditioning would stop putting out cool air.  I took it to
my mom's bf who is a mechanic and has been fixing our whole family and
many other people cars for years. He especially likes to fix Toyota's.  He said
he never heard of such a thing and has no idea how to fix it.  He does not
use the internet or have a computer because he is very old fashion.  I am
trying to help him figure out what could be the problem and get it fixed.  I
took it to O'Reilly's auto part store and have them hook one of the diagnostic
tools to my car and see what codes come up, hoping this might help Steve
know what is wrong.  He is still uncertain.  The codes U0073 and C1241
came up.  Can anyone please tell me what part, or whatever, is needed to fix
my car?

AbS assembly needs replacing. Costs about 300- 400 for a good used one on ebay. Easily can be replaced by yourself. Just dont overtighten because it is aluminum and the threads can break

read this topic https://www.camryforums.com/forum/general-tech-8/2007-camry-instrumentation-ghost- 39934/page3/ there are many ways to solve that problem on your own. But I would recommend contacting professional repairers like Repair Laboratory. All you have to do is replace the faulty module with a working one and enjoy driving
