My 2007 Toyota Camry is blowing air only on the windshield.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The air only blows through the defrost vents.  I can move the selector but the
location of the airflow does not change.  Is this an actuator problem or
something else.  If it is a selector, where is that located?

As you suggest, the ductwork has blend doors that move to get the air/temperature to the vent where you want it. I'd say that both blend doors (not the blend/mode door) are sticking because the door actuators are defective. One door is behind the glove box on the passenger side and the other is above the accelerator peddle. You may have noticed a tapping sound under the dash from a defective actuator; just follow the noise. If this was a selector problem, I'd think that it would relate to only one of those doors.
