We changed transmission in 98 chevy k1509, the line blew off n lost fluid, we fixed it but 3rd gear is burnt out. I'm driving it in 2nd gear, (not over 40/45 mph ), I've been told that u cannot tighten the band's on this tranny to fix it, so what is our easiest fix to get 3rd gear back? It is 4l60e, 4x4 automatic. 2 Answers
