Asked by firerescue16 Apr 15, 2017 at 06:49 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

was backing into parking spot. shifted the
truck from drive to reverse heard a pop noise
and now truck won't Shift. The shifter moves  
on side the transmission,  but feels like it's
not hooked to anything.

See if that linkage piece is loose to the transmission. If your not seeing any problem there you may have to drop the pan to see if you can see anything where the shift lever goes threw.
