Oil pressure guage

Asked by Guru14D Mar 17, 2017 at 06:25 PM about the 1996 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My oil pressure guage is tapped out past 80 and
stays there . It happened after transmission was
rebuilt.  What could it be ? They said they replaced
the oil sensor guage.

Could be the wrong oil sending unit, should double check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and replace the oil sending unit. AT their cost of course.
