i got a 96 k1500 with the vortec 5.3L. the engine is junk. can i swap a carbed sbc 350 and the computer will still shift the trans ( 4L60E)

i want to put  carbed sbc 350 in my 96 k1500 with the stock 4L60E trans. will
the trans still shift with the stock ecu or would i have to get a new ecu
specifically for the trans

You cant swap it in there without a new ECU, theoreticially you could do it without a new ECU but thats too much work in my opinion and me having a k1500 myself I'll tell ya that its a bit** to work with that ECU
