Can I put a 70s model 350 in a 97' Chevy?

Asked by 2000Bubba Jun 09, 2020 at 08:42 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Chevy with a vortex 350
that is blown. I have a 70s model 350
that has been rebuilt. I'm wondering
what it would take to put that motor in
the 1997 or even if it can be done?

Yes you can do it but this is not smog legal. You may not be able to drive it legally on the road.
